Thanks for the heads up meatdragger. How deep is the water in this area? Are there any spots over 10' deep in the creek past the first fork?

There's plenty of deep water in there in the channels and what not but there are trees and stumps around too and the boat ramp back in the creek is horrible. If you launch there make sure you don't go back to the right. Always go left out into creek. I refuse to launch there myself, I've had too many problems there. But it's a big creek and you don't even have to go back that far. If you are back by that boat ramp or any farther up the creek, idle everywhere you go.
Thanks again meatdragger. I'm in a little v-hull aluminum. I launch and load by hand so as long as I got about a foot and a half of water and can get my trailer tires in the water at the ramp I should be ok there. I do have a fish/depth finder on the little boat so that makes things a little better. Anymore info or warning are greatly appreciated.
After the rain, Talala creek is extremely muddy and most likely won't clear up for another couple of days. Looks as if Oologah rose 1.5' since yesterday morning.
good to hear Reaper...the Big O needs some water badly.
Shows to be a hair above normal now. Hope it stays this way thru the spring.
Oologah Lake
Went out and fought the wind at Blue Creek for a couple hours caught 7 dink crappie 2 dink bass and lost my prop :(
Wow dinobot...not a fun day..sorry about the prop..that sucks
Hitting Oologah on Wednesday...hoping the bite will be on!
I got a chance to get out yesterady. The fishing seemed tough but improving for me. I brought home six, missed a couple, and threw back a dink. Biggest was 14" and the rest were real respectable too. Seemed to do the best spider rigging minners and jigs. Found all fish about 17 ft deep over 20-22 fow. The weren't right in the brush but in general area of brush. The down scan unit occupied lots of my time and was fun to just troll around and check out the bottom. I fished Spencer creek area and the water wasn't muddy. Hope this helps all the oologah ers who keep helping me!
