I've fished a little recently in the Talala Creek area. The bigger fish have not been around since Spring. What fish you can find are still spread out and don't seem to be grouped at all. Every now and then, you can get 2-3 fish in the same spot. Most fish are around 8-9" or smaller.

Oologah 12-8 & 12-9
Sorry for the late report, but I have been extremely busy. We fished Monday the 8th from 1230 to 1630. We caught fish everywhere we tried, but the further south you went toward the dam the better it was. We started out mid lake and visibility was maybe 2-3 inches and they were in the brush in 16-20 FOW holding about 14 feet. The visibility was 4-6 inches down by the dam and the fish were holding on sharp drop offs and ledges, same depth. We caught our fish double dipping Timmy Tom weed less jig heads, Bobby Garland baby shads and minnow minders. The best colors were black/char, blue/pearl, and Cajun cricket. We must of caught 150 or more fish and kept 48, mostly 10 inchers with a few up to 12 inches. Water Temp 46 and rose to 49 by end of the day.
Tuesday we started at 0900 and fished to 1700. The weather man doesn't know what a 6-10 mph wind looks like, it was more like 25mph. We were very limited on where we could fish due to the wind. The bite was definitely not as good and the size was about the same. Same pattern and equipment as day before with all fish coming on ledges and drop offs. We kept 29 and our buddies fished beside us from 1300-1700 and had 12. Water temp stayed about 46 all day.

I've fished Oologah the last week virtually every day. Dinks a plenty for the most part with murky waters in Talala Creek and Spencer Creek. Talked to Doug and he told me about the areas to the south so I went hunting them Thursday and Friday. Thursday I caught around 80 fish, keeping around 25 with the biggest at 11". Most of those fish were 9-10". All came 8-10' down in 12' of water off brush. Friday, was a morning of looking at different areas and marking some. Couple of small fish. Got a call from someone wanting to order Exede, loaded the boat and went to work.
Yesterday it was slow, had 6 just under 10" in 5 hours, called it a day. Today, fished 5 hours, caught serveral, kept around 12 with the biggest in the 14" range.
