    Hey Grover,

Were you fishing the Gentry Creek area? If so, is there much good bank access around there or were you boat fishing?

My son and I are going down this afternoon and I figured I would start looking around the culvert area on 266 and then on down by the park. Maybe bunny creek next. I DK, I haven't done much fishing from the bank on Eufaula.

    Default Elm Creek

I was in a boat in elm creek (or at least that is what I call it)...same creek the culvert is on except I was further toward the lake.

Today was worse than yesterday (for me up north).... Well, I wasn't working so it wasn't all that bad.....::D

My wife and I fished Rock Creek today and got blown around. We finally caught a few under the RR bridge and hwy bridge spiderrigging with minnows and jigs. We graphed alot of fish but the wind was too high. Right at dark we caught a few but released them at the ramp.

The North Juniper Point ramp is barricaded and the South ramp is open. Too windy to launch at the South ramp. We saw 1 boat having trouble loading because of the swirling wind so we retreated to Rock Creek.

Started out in Rock Creek and caught more little ones than keepers and saw several little ones caught. Moved to Coale Creek and couldn't fish my favorite spots because of the the wind. My boat had 25 and my brothers boat had 29. Some small ones with the occasional goodin. Tried to troll but the wind finally won. Caught mostly males up shallow. We decided not to go tomorrow and save our gas money for a better day with less wind.
    Hey, tell me a story!

    Default Weekend Report!!

Hey fellows fished yesterday in that blasted wind. Fished from 10-4 and kept 60 had about 30 get off shallow pattern, it happens. We spider-rigged 2-4ft in 5-8ft of water. When the wind would settle a little they would bite a little better. I think this is because we could keep our baits still for little bit. I had some friends fishing the bank yesterday and they kept 109. Todd and Barry both 100 fish days as well. I guess I need to get a little bit better on windy days to keep up with my buddies.LOL Good Fishing EB

I've got an errand to run in Eufaula tomorrow and then need to pick up my trolling motor in McAlester so I plan on getting a few hours in down south. I'll see what this little cold front will do to the fish. Let y'all know what happens.

    Default 4/28 - light bite

I got on the water at Hickory Point about noon and fished shallow for an hour or so without anything. So I rigged up three rods for spider rigging and went where I've caught some nice ones before. I caught about two dozen in three hours - slow!. Nine were nice keepers - one 11", three 14" and the rest about 12". I lost one larger than any I caught. It was the first fish to bite and I tried to lift it into the boat because my net was out of my reach. Shoulda known better. The longest weighed 1.45 lbs. All were yet to spawn females with most having immature eggs. They were 2-8' deep over 8-25' of water. Water was around 72 degrees and very muddy. It was one of the lightest bites I have ever had. The rod tip would barely tremble and there would be a fish there. Three of them had swallowed the jig and were just sitting there not moving. The only one to hit hard was a 4" dink that hit a 3" slider grub. I saw several others fishing, mostly tied up with minnows but nobody claimed to have any fish. Did see Barry Morrow with some clients and they did pretty good I guess. If the weather is right I'll probably come down late next week for a couple of days just before the full moon.
