This morning at the Blocker Bridge rip rap there were about 6 boats and a couple of guides. Water temperature was 60.7 and wind was tough. I lasted longer than the others and only saw one 4" crappie caught on a minnow. Came back for a cheeseburger and now ready for a nap.

We took the pontoon out yesterday to the Blocker bridge. Managed to find 7 keepers before the wind tried to blow us off the lake. It was a minner kind of day. Tough fishing but a good day on the water.

Lots of thumps yesterday in the Rock Creek area. Lots of boats too. Unfortunately the thumps came from little ones. The biggest was about 8-9 inches. Those little dudes like the larger jigs. The one that got the most hits though was a black/chart Super Tube. Muddy and cool water temp. I'll be back after the Murrah anniversary so maybe it will be on by then.

Fished Gaines Ck with clients 3 days this last week. We had a blast on all 3 trips and caught lots of crappie. Biggest was just over 2lbs and a lot of fish from 1.40-1.80 caught this week. Some females are spawned out and some are Rippin full of eggs. Lots of males but very few show signs of full spawn activity. Technique has been double dipping 4" Fle Fly Crappie Kickers in Buster Brown, Black/Chartreuse, Electric Chicken colors. Timmy Toms Weedless Jig Heads to keep us snag free in the wood, and 10' BoneHead N Huckabee Rods, 20lb Tug Of War Braid in Hi Vis Yellow. Great Week On The Water.....Ranger

That's what EB said. We had to fish hard Andy to catch em but the end result was awesome. No pattern at all, males do not show any signs of spawning activity, some females are spawned out while others are not near. Some males are pretty black and others are still white. Been a crazy spring so far. I keep saying it's got to get better, but I am having my doubts......Ranger

Cpd21 and I guided 4 kiddos Saturday and could not get on anything consistant. But still managed to catch 16 crappie and 2 sand bass. Every kid caught a fish and that was the goal.

Sunday I guided the Crowder area and had 20 in 4 hrs. We were double dipping in 3.5-4.5 fow. Caught lots of males. We didnt have anything huge but got bit all day long. EB
