They are definitely getting close and staging just off the beds....if the weather holds the next two weeks it should be getting good.

Fished at our dock today with Stink. We threw back several little ones. I put 3 in the basket and Stink put 1 in there.
We'll try again tomorrow Stink and hopefully we'll have better luck.

Stink you should go try around blocker bridge
Water level at Mill Creek is rising fast. No crappie today, but I hooked a couple of largemouth bass. Can't wait for some sunshine so the water warms up.
I was thinking the same thing, lol. But my boat is not sea-worthy right now and I've never had much luck fishing from the bank on the Crowder side of the bridge. If I were younger and tougher, I would climb down the rip-rap next to the bridge itself and use my slip corks to cast out into some good zones. 30 years ago I used to park close to the bridge and fish directly off the bridge. But the highway department moved the guard rail so close to the road you can't park up there now. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.
AMERICANS: Willing to cross a frozen river to kill you, in your sleep, on Christmas, totally not kidding, we've done it.
stink they have that road i see alot of people pull down to on the north west side alot of spiderblocks and other cover there....most that were fishing there friday were fishing in 10ft and deeper....my son caught one in 7 and we stayed at that depth and caught several there before we moved to other points

Fished crowder/blocker/rock creek areas yesterday. Was slow but steady for us, we ended up with 27 keepers and several throw backs. Color didn't seem to be too important, just had to hit them in the nose. Depth was 10 fow fishing 8-9 ft deep. Most of our fish were not holding tight to structure!!!
Fished mid lake Fri. Water was 46-50 depending on the spot and time of day. Vis was 4-5". Fish were scattered and around piles in 12' holding 8-12'deep. 15 keepers and about 15 shorts. 3 biggest about 1.5-1.75. Didnt fish the whole time, spent some time dropping some piles out for later. Used big baits. Pink was better than chart. No black on the males, but the bellies were getting large on the females.
