Cleaned 15 on Sunday - the majority were caught on Saturday at our dock on minnows anywhere from 5-10' in 20' dow. Over half that I cleaned had eggs, so the spawn is not too far now. The problem is the lake has come up about 2 feet after all the rain we've had. The level needs to stabilize so the spawning beds don't get disturbed. That's when it's really fun to either bank fish or stand on the walkway and drag back across the beds.

Stink, as always, it was great fishing with you this weekend. We'll see you next weekend!

Hello! First post here, but I wanted to chime in to let you guys know that I tried some fishing around Mill Creek, south of Stidham Hill. Off the banks is definitely a no go since the water level is so low. All the usual spots are like trashy swamps, only a few inches deep in some places and completely dry in others. I fear the water level may not rise enough here before the spawn comes and goes.

I hope to go out and try some fishing elsewhere today. I fished a lot for crappie at Mill Creek when I was a kid, but never really knew of other spots.

Went out with CrappiePappa yesterday. Light wind 72 degrees chocolate water and rising 46 degrees water temp. Caught a lot of links and a few keepers in 18-23 FOW at 11 feet. 46 degrees WT. My first outing since surgery. It was great to get out.

Held a Birthday Party Crappie Catching trip for my buddy Charlie yesterday. We unloaded at Arrowhead and found the fish staging on the break lines at 7' to 9' on natural banks. Early with the wt at 48 they were close to the bottom but as the temps rose into the 50's they moved up and suspended at about 5'. We caught over 100 keeping 45 good fish. Technique was vertical jigging or double dipping with 2 rods in hand with 2 jigs on each. Great day with a great guy. Happy Birthday My Friend........Ranger

Went to the duck pond near here, but everything was so flooded and overgrown that I couldn't reach the good spots. I didn't hang out long since wild hogs are pretty thick there. Got a short video of an alligator snapper and moved on. Spent a few hours looking for more spots off Mill Creek and fished the bridge. Water levels are more reasonable near the bridges, so maybe they'll be good spots once the fish make their way towards the banks up north.

Hoping to hit up Arrowhead this weekend. I was going to go out today since it's my day off, but housework took precedence.
