Thanks, That's great news EB! I have a camping trip this weekend Ive had planned for a year now. We are heading to a cove on the north end, not far from the I40 bridge. We went last year in April and didn't do to well, so we planned it for may this year. Anyway I'll post how we do!

Brian,, when do you think they will pull up in the #9 area this year,, i have checked it off and on so far and all of the fish have been anywhere from 6-to even 15 fow ,, The fish in the elm/ash/blue creek area keep throwin me for a loop i will catch em good one day and the next day i cant even force feed them,, I think its just me but i am having an extremely hard time keeping tabs on these suckers this year,,one day they are there and the next day GONE , deep, shallow just VANISHED,,and that right there why i am in awe of how you continually and consistantly wear em out ,,when the fish do that to you do you just move to a complete different area of the lake or do you stay and grind it out??

EB. Can we get an interpretation? They've spawned, they've not spawned, or they've yet to spawn in the above areas? TIA

Hey guys first let me say I don't always catch them when I go, somedays no matter who you are you're not going to catch them. Now as for the spawn, the man that taught me about crappie fishing on Eufaula always his best the last week of April to the 3rd week in May. Depending on the weather, water clarity, and lake levels of course. During the spring we will have three phases of fish, pre-spawn, spawn, and post-spawn. So learn different techniques that help you catch these fish. If fish are on the bank the males will guard that nest until two things happen, either they finish spawning, or lowered lake levels run them out.
Usaully cold fronts will effect them too but they dont move far, Monday evening I had some buddies wading catching fish in 6inches-1ft of water, they fished two coves in 4 hrs and caught 40. Yesterday a buddy and I went wading, when we started it was 70 degrees, when we finished it was 50. It did not effect the bite at all, we still caught them. But we caught them in 2ft deep water. Couldnt get bit in that 1ft or less. Remember fish will move on you but never drastically, especially in a shallow area of the lake. I do wish we had 1 more foot of water to put alot more bushes in 1-3ft. Right now the lake is a lttle bit low. As for me fishing for fun I will be in my waders for the next 3 weeks EB
