I'm still here and I still fish 2-3 hrs here and there but close to the house. Went yesterday and caught some for supper. Football coaches work 6 days a week so time is limited. EB

My twelve year old grandson Evan, from Colorado, and I fished with Brian a couple of weeks ago south of Crowder. Brian is great with kids. Fishing was slow, however, we kept 20 nice Crappie and my grandson (and I) learned a lot about crappie fishing. Brian was getting ready to start football practice and it sounded like he was going to be busy for several weeks. Any suggestions on where I can learn to post photographs on the Forum?

Upload your photos to either Photobucket website or into your computer to "MyDocuments" and then click on the little photo icon in the toolbar of the reply you are making. It's fairly self explanatory, but ask anyone as needed for assistance. I think in the main forum there are more detailed instructions. Good luck and looking forward to seeing some pictures of some big ol slabs.

i have had excellent luck and ease by just uploading pictures onto the forum. just hit reply, bottom rt box says "go advanced". click it. scroll down to manage attachments. click. then just open the folder or driver you have the pictures in, double click them. when you are done. click the upload tab in the screen. they will appear in your post in the order you have them. You will have to click on "preview post" to see them, if you want to look at them before they go out to the world. Really not that hard.

Any help locating fall crappie in a deep lake with very little structure? There are shallower coves and inlets. Very little wood in the lake. I'm a newbie to the fall fishing so any help will be greatly appreciated.

Try posting your question in the Main Forum Sawdustsavage. Are you fishing clear water? If so, the crappie could be 30-50' deep. I'm sure there are some Northern and Canadian Crappie fishermen that can chime in and help you figure out what's happening in your neck. Good Luck!

Fished the South End today with Jason dipping stumps and standing timber. Wt was 84 at 7am and got up to 88 before we left at 4pm. Colors that worked today was pum/chart and blk/chart Slab Bandits in 2 3/8" length. We ended up with 29 keepers and caught well over 50 today counting throwbacks. Our biggest was 1.71lb and was a Black Species. Water depth today was 3' to 7' and if you got out of that range you didn't get bit. Not all wood held fish and you didn't have to beg em to bite if they was there they hit as soon as you swam it by. #1 rule is never beg em to bite anyways.....Ranger

A buddy and I fished on Sunday at our dock for about an hour - caught about 20 on minnows in about 8-10' deep.

Where do you coach EB? We come down to the house in Eufaula Friday for the weekend and plan on attending some Friday night lights! I'll come yell at the ref's for you ... LOL

FYI, Found Crappie in 40'-50' of water and holding about 10' deep under the Hwy 69 bridge. Didn't fish but about an hour and caught a few on White 3" Curly tails with 3/8oz Pink Head. Was pulling and if you get REALLY close to the pilings you generally would get a hit. I was out testing the Nauticus smart tabs for my boat.... BTW they completely changed the ride and control for the better on the old Ranger.

CB, I coach QB's and Safties at Checotah High school. We are pretty talented this year, beat Morris 21-14 last Friday night, We had 18 penalties for 165 yds with 4 fumbles. Played terrible, but was thankful for the win. EB
