No but glad to met you smokie
I'm confused.......... but what else is new?
AMERICANS: Willing to cross a frozen river to kill you, in your sleep, on Christmas, totally not kidding, we've done it.
Trying to decide where to fish tomorrow with the 20-30 mph wind. Anybody got any suggestions? I'd like to fish somewhere south on the Gaines arm.
si non ire, nescies--Tim
Fished the south end today and cleaned 18 keepers and while cleaning fish threw back 4 10"+ fish making it 22 keepers. Fish caught were in 4' to 6' DOW. Didn't have long to fish and started at around 10am and loaded at alil after 3pm. As I was leaving saw a friend catching them 1' deep and close to the bank around wood and in buckbrush. Males he said were black. Maybe I was fishing 2 deep. No they just had moved into the bank cause I saw him fishing the same bank about 3 hrs earlier and he hadn't caught a single fish until then. WT was still 68 degrees even up the creek. Beavertails were the bait of choice today again in pumkin/chart and lime/chart.......Ranger
Thanks JD for jumping in the boat with us it was good to see you and always exciting fishing with you.............Ranger

Juniper Area Tim. Right now its just searching for that spawning bank that they want to lay those golden eggs on. Early they are staging off that bank in alil deeper water and when it gets right they move up and start spewing. Later in the day when the sun warms up the water look for shad flipping close to the bank or swirls from bigger fish on the banks edge that are caused from crappie hitting at anything that comes close to the nest. That spawning bank could be a bank with lots of buckbrush in the water or just a point or small depression in a bank that has shale or peagravel on it, a log jab, rocky point...your getting the idea. It takes some looking and alot of fishing an area to find those lil places that the crappies like to spawn on. Good Luck Tim hope you find em and fill your LW buddy......Ranger
