Nice fish J. D. Glad to see someone is getting to go. I haven't been in a month. Hopefully things will slow down after next week. I need to get back down there and fish with you again.

Went out yesterday and go in to them pretty good! I fished from 2-6 and had my limit. I bet I caught 75-80 fish. Jigging the wood! I had a hand full of fish over 13 inches! EB

Well if it's anything like last weekend I'm planning on tearing them up! Been hearing some really good reports here lately!

I am sure you will, EB. Since I can't seem to catch them where and how you will be, I will be staying with the rip-rap. I have still been doing pretty good with not big numbers, necessarily, but good fish.

Went out Sunday and Monday, and the fishing slowed way down. Only had 25 in two days! The cooler weather changed them up a little bit! EB

Took my 79 yr old dad this morning for his brithday present (birthday was yeasterday 9-11). We fishing from 830 to 1130 and ended up with 20 keepers 10-12" long caught that many little ones. Couldn't stay out much longer than that for dad has a hard staying up right now days. God bless him for his fishing days are getting closer to the end. This is what he wanted for a present so I made sure he got it. We hit the standing timber using beaver tails. The bite was very strong when we first got there then by around 930 it had slowed way down. Fished anywhere from 10-22 FOW about 10' deep. Sorry no pictures dad was in a hurry to get back their motor home to rest. So I did a quick clean up for him and sent him on his way. All though I know he won't see this post, but I love you dad and happy fishing. :-)

Crappie-Jiggin, I was fishing this morning and got to thinking of my Dad and longed for him to be with me one more time so he could get in some fishing, he loved to fish. Odd that you would make this post on the same day I was thinking of my father, nice post.

Note: Caught around 30, but only 5 keepers..........but had a blast with all the action of the smaller ones. One right after another for two hours.

I can relate my dad was the best, I sure do miss him! He taught me how to hunt and fish, but most impotantly how to live right! I would give anything to spemd another day on the water with him! EB
