    Default Weekend Report!!

We went Saturday for for about 4 hours on the north end and caught 28 keepers. We were spider-rigging in 10-16ft of water fishing 6-12 ft deep. We were using Kentucky rigs and Flicker rigs with minnows. The water temp was 40-41 degrees, and the water color was about 4 inch visibility. Later in the evening the bite slowed down a little and I moved a little quicker down the bank probaly .5-.7 mph and the last few fish we picked up were on the flicker rig, with the in-line spinner. It was encouraging to catch a few fish on the north end, the next warm trend the fish up there should fire up. EB

    Default Minnowtime

A flicker rig is a capps and coleman rig with an in-line spinner on the trailer hook. When you troll the spinner gives a little flash and vibration. I have modified Lindy's version a little. I am experimenting with different blades. EB

EB, what pound and type of line do you prefer when spider rigging this flicker type rig?

    Default Hot Rod

I use his-vis yellow 10 lb mono. The reason is because I want to be able to see the line the whole time, this is one of the most important things when spider-rigging. EB
