It's that dadgum shallow water that's waking all the fish up down there. Oologah is a ways away and like usual, might be at the mercy of rising water from a spring shower or two.

QUESTION FOR RANGER OR EB,
When you talk about double dippin in 10 FOW, and the fish are in the break between channel(not holding to structure), are you slowly trolling the jigs along or picking the jigs up and dropping them again? Need help understanding this technique? Thanks for your help!
Good question, double dippin is holding a rod in each hand with two heavier weighted jigs slowly verticle trolling in a specific depth if water. Right now we are fishing for ore spawning fish that are staging greeting ready to spawn. It's a firm of spider rigging except you can feel the thump! Most people's mistake when they start to fish this way is they fish to fast by over running the trolling motor. Your speed should be .3-.8 mph! Creep along the bank watching your line angle. If you line has an angle your moving if its verticle directly under the pole your setting still! Pay close attention to your depth, fish will be depth specific you will get bites in a depth range! We are fishing 8-10 ft in 9-12 fow. Good luck! EB
I got to fish with EB and the "Eufaula Legend aka Slabman" yesterday. It was a blast seeing the grin on Slabman's face when we pulled up to his house to get him. He was outside waiting on us with poles ready to go. For those of you who don't know this is the man who took EB under his wing several years ago and helped refine his Lake Eufaula fishing skills. He is just returning to fishing after a near death eperience over the last 2 years. He spent 14 months in the hospital and is just now recovered enough to start back fishing. He thanked EB and myself for letting him go with us, what he didn't know was I think we enjoyed seeing him out there as much as he enjoyed going. He even got to say hi to Todd and Barry who were out there also. They both were truly thrilled that he was back fishing. Great day fishing with a good friend, and welcome back to the "Slabman". Cant wait to go again.

So EB are the fish in big schools or you catching them all scattered just along the break?
Yes they are scattered out all over the bank!
This is MrRodbender changing my name for those that know me. Glad to see ole slabman get out and wet a hook especially since the loss of his brother last week ole "SNOUT" won't be a bank clean now. Slabman would fish it and Snout would clean it out to fish. I consider Slabman the the crappie king of lake eufaula as Al Kat was to noodling. For those that remember Al Kat.
Nitro sorry been out of pocket with my Dad..everything Mr.Crappie EB said is the way it is..can't add anything to what EB said. Only thing that I will add is be prepared to look like a Water Turkey with his wings spread wide while fishing like that. And if you have a weak elbow wear a brace cause its gonna be hurting like the dickens before the day is out.....lol.....Ranger
Fished last half of the day, caught about 40, 25 keepers with a some nice ones from 13 to 16 inches. Used Jigs and rigged minnows, bigger fish off jigs more fish off the minnows. Found fish everywhere I looked at 12-14 FOW, the bigger fish seemed to be on creek edges. The most fish I have seen on the finder at Eufaula. They have definitely moved up and are getting ready. I found loosely schooled smaller fish (9"-11") on the banks and scattered big ones farther out on the creek edges. I caught fish on all the different jigs I used. Water temp was 52.5-51 got colder as day went on, visibility was about 10 inches.
We went around 3:00 fished till 7:00 had 33 keepers! Fish were in 3-7 fow! Blk pink was the hot color! Good Fishing! EB
