well i decided to fish onapa for a couple hours this morning before heading to work at 4. only fished bout 2 hours and ended up with 9 keepers and one lil dink. i was fishing jigs in 11-12 fow, did not seem to matter what color jig i used either! had some nice fish with some 12-13 and maybe even 14 inchers. having trouble posting pics, maybe i can figure it out tomorrow and get it on here???
Can tell you where not to fish..LONGTOWN CREEK..fished 27 different woodpiles and even went way up the creek. Fished standing timber in the mouth and about a mile further up the creek where the bigger timber starts. Finished up with 1 keeper..no dinks..3 bass...and a sunburn. Water temps were 48.2 when I started and got up to 50.6 when I left..a beautiful day........Ranger

Your right George...didnt have that long to fish yesterday and had some friends going to Rock Creek so I left em alone down there. Just checking out different waters. I would of gone down south if I had more time and was set up for EB's techinque, which I will be real soon. Just odered Hi Tek's rod racks and to see how much I will fish like that decided to use 2 folding chairs up front til I decide. If I decide that I will be using that techinque alot I have found the set up I will use..Its called Dub-L-Seat......Ranger
George I told Ranger that your setup on your Ranger is pretty sweet! He needed to look at yours to get some ideas. Which will be me too if I sell my boat! I've been Ranger shopping! Looking for a 00-04 right now, those seem to be more in my price range! EB
I'll be fishing Saturday and Sunday this weekend! I should have a report on them! EB
well my dad and i went out this morning hoping to pick up where i left off yesterday, due to having to go to work:mad:! no such luck, could not buy a bite today. we ended up with one keeper in the boat and one that got away. yes, mine was the one that got away today. dad sure had no problem reminding me of that either. lol
oh well, im gonna try and post the pics of yesterdays catch if it will work.. happy fishing to all and fill those livewells!!!:fish
