Broken Bow Lake ?
Interested in fishing this lake in the future but don't see a lot of activity about it. If it's worth the drive we would be interested in finding some seasonal movement for crappie information. Thanks in advance for any info. Any pros or cons on the lake appreciated.

The Hook n Look fishing show with Kim Stricker just aired another show with Wally Marshal they filmed last summer on Broken Bow. First show was on this morning and it's on again tomorrow morning on the Outdoor Channel @ 9:30 am. It may be the best crappie show I've ever seen. A lot better than the first one they did down there. Underwater video was incredible. It's worth setting your timer for if you can't watch it.

Skiatook 2017
Sunday was the first time I had ever been on this lake and I was impressed. Loved the layout of it, there is standing timber, points, deep channels, creeks, brushpiles etc. anything you want to fish. The water color was beautiful as well. The boat ramps were super nice and the fishing ended up being pretty good. We launched at 9:30 and didn't catch a crappie till 3:30. Lots of scanning and looking. Looking forward to fishing the tournament there on Saturday. EB

I watched this lake fill. It is a supreme bass lake and my nephew does quite well going after catfish. I've only fished it for crappie a few times so the learning curve is there. However, I too am very impressed. Winds will play havoc and it doesn't matter which direction I don't think. Saturday will be fun....

I used to fish it when I lived in Owasso 29 yrs. This time of year a lot of folks would go way up Hominy Creek ,used to be lots of standing timber. Bull creek is another good one. Watched the lake built and filled , caught a lot of crappie out of that lake. Bridges at both creeks going into Hominy and Bull always had crappie around them they aren't very wide and easy to fish. Seem like a good spot for fish starting to move this time of year before going shallow!Good Luck wish I could be there on my old stomping grounds(water)!

Tim, Just came back from my second trip to Broken Bow in two weeks. They haven't moved up to the bank yet as far as I can tell and from talking to locals. Catching them on brush piles and suspended in creek channels. Broken Bow is a great crappie lake with good average size. There is brush all over the lake that holds fish year round. You just have to find it. This past weekend we were catching them in 18-25 FOW suspended or on brush in 10-15 feet. All the keepers still had eggs. The inconsistent weather keeps running them off the bank.

Down here now and fish have about turned off due to the extremely high wind and low water. Anyone down here have any recommendations on crappie and bass, maybe even walleye? Been catching some small dinks but the wind I had been playing havoc. Please pm me since I'm fishing tomorrow morning and Sunday morning.
Anniversary weekend and trying to get some i between being the good husband.

I am going camping at broken bow next week. Anyone know about the water clarity? I was going to go to Tenkiller initially, but heard it was a mess. Wanted to go somewhere clear and maybe catch some crappie from shore. Also, any good areas to fish from shore?
