Have picked off a few from standing timber on the channel edge in the river at 10' - 12'. Water temp around 55deg and muddy. The river has been muddy, even before the last rain. Been having some fun with spots and sand bass. How's the water clarity on the main lake?

Thanks. Caught a few today right off the bank in the back of a creek. A couple came out of 5' water. Also picked up a nice walleye in 8' water. Still in muddy water, temps 52 - 55 deg. Fish are scattered.

The river is clearing up. Pretty decent water from the 40 foot hole to Holly creek. Water temps are in the low 60's. Starting to catch crappie in good numbers: some males off the bank and in the flats, and some big sows on the channel breaks.
Water is about 5' above normal and dropping fast and should be back down to the conservation pool by early next week. Supposed to be cold and rainy this weekend. Judging from what I could see from the water, you couldn't shoehorn in another camper at Holly Creek.
