Check out out of control control burn...
Looks like there control burn is not controlled!! You always know it's touchy, when the state plane is flying over you continuously while your doing a burn!! LOL
No, I could tell by the way it looks. Also I have personally had a plane circling us for hours, waiting for us to make a mistake. Haven't had a burn get off a burn property yet. However Mother Nature can sure surprise an ol boy. I fished xkiller this weekend, by the look of your pics I should have been fishing with you!! LOL Pretty fish!
I have had those planes circle me before too. Forest service firefighter even came by once to check. A rotten willow was spitting embers across the county road and I did not catch it.
Hey Machine those are some nice fish, were you the one that Outdoor Oklahoma came to Broken Bow and filmed a show with? Maybe 2-3 summers ago? EB
Yes I did! Looks like you know how to catch them down there.
I also watched a Lund video with Bobby Murray, really great video explaining why BB is such a great lake........no strippers (or stripers) or hybrids to eat the shad. That video also is the best I've seen on use of electronics to find crappie.
Yes enjoyed the show, those black crappie in that clear water are some pretty fish. Lots of our guys up here that fish Tenkiller love to go to Broken Bow. It is one the prettiest lakes in Oklahoma. EB

Spawn is close? ?
That Outdoor Oklahoma show was really good.
Does not look like it with those eggs.
Todd is a stellar guy in my books. I have known him for years.
Machine - I am envious of you as I love fishing Broken Bow for Kentuckies on the humps and drops. I have not fished BB for crappie although it is well known for the spawn.
Hmm, you must have been spying on me years ago. Crawpappies and spots are like ham and eggs. My 40 year old son grew up bouncing mud bugs off the chunk rock island between the marina and Carson Creek. There is nothing more fun than getting into an active school of spots with 15 dozen bugs on 8# test. Send me a pm with your cell # please. Well let me change that to getting into a school of active smallies.
I might bring some with me........ I could tell you a story that occurred around 1959 on the Johnny Beaver Trail that involved a 2 seater Bell helicopter, and a bunch of shiners that accused my Dad of being a revenuer, with 2 kids for cover. I can also relay a story about life on upper Otter Creek before the lake was built. It involved squatters that lived in a make shift house, feral hogs, illegal deer heads etc. Shall I continue???????????? Ohhh yeah, lightening is in there too. White lightening.
send me your cell# in a pm
Yes, will call shortly. I bet we have friends
LOL, I left you a message. I don't know of any enemies in BB
Going in the morning
Could be windy
I'll give yall blow by blow if we go
