Josh it is a Gen 3 Lowrance 7in.touch.
Dude, if you have insurance on that boat turn in a claim. I'm sure your lower unit went out because you "hit an obstruction." Same thing happened to me 4 years ago. In March. 150 merc 2 stroke. Took it to Wilson's marine in edmond. I had a new lower unit and prop in less than 2 weeks for $250. Deductible. Because I "hit an obstruction." There are all kinds of unseen obstacles under water. Something caused the loss.
My boats 10 yrs old. I carried insurance on it when it was newer but don't anymore. Got the lower unit back together Friday and it's good to go. I did learn a couple things from this. One is never hit a stump in reverse because the clutch is locked and there's no give and two get several price quotes on parts. I had several dealers quote my prop shaft at 800.00 and found one for 320.00 and both were genuine mercury parts. There was a 60 % mark up on parts so shop around. Don't mind paying 10 to 20 % markup on parts but 60 t 70 % is ridiculous when they charge 110.00 an hour labor. Some dealers wanted 2,500 dollars for parts an labor and I ended up doing it myself for 1,100.
After seeing your earlier post I did talk to Kelly and he is a great guy. He was really covered up so I repaired it myself. I will take mine to Kelly in the future if it's something over my head.
Did anyone see the fire at the marina last night?
Caught one today that looked like she had tried to put that fire out with her tail. She didn't like hanging out with all those dinks in that muddy lake so I arranged a transfer to my back yard- 2lbs 4 oz.
Nice fish and love the backdrop!
Started shallow, wasn't good enough so tried deeper. Fished 15- 25 deep in 20 to 35 FOW. Bigger fish were deeper. Had females spilling eggs and dark males caught from standing timber 18 feet deep in 35 FOW. So what do we know :dono? Kept 18 good fish. Attachment 235928Attachment 235929
Fishers manhandled the dead sea!!! I love catching them in 40 ft of water when everyone else is on the banks
Dead sea? LOL Back at it again for a half day today. Did find some fish acting in a more normal spawning pattern. Was able to catch half the big ones in 12-15 FOW. Still lots of fish deep. Yesterday and today I used Franks jigs deep and shallow, Mo magic in hot pink/chart yellow and his new black/pink (thanks for the Blk/pnk baits Frank, they work great!) And used minnows in the shallower stuff on a slip bober 10-15 feet deep. Most of the big fish preferred the jigs, I would pick up big fish on jigs fished right next to the minnows. I think the bright colors bother them. Stopped keeping at 30 fish- freezer now full :biggrin Attachment 236030Attachment 236031Attachment 236032
Very welcome! Looks like you had a field day Chris. Got a new feature coming in addition to Tombstone Sound. Vision. The white eyes Glow!

TC I do not think I have laughed that hard in a LONG time. I am sponsoring the Tenkiller tournament. Those participating will get a 4 pack of different styles color coded for Tenkiller. EYES will be on those baits! I am leaving for an Anniversary Cruise Tomorrow pulling out of Galveston Saturday afternoon. I return April 28. I will be laughing every time I think of your statement above!.:Rofl
I don't know why it keeps deleting my posts!
Anyway! I am about to head out to keystone state park for a weekend camping trip with the family. Excited!!!!!
I'm looking to fish keystone this coming weekend with the kids. We fish from a boat and are catch and release only. Would love to catch some crappies and catfish but we have never fished keystone before so if anyone could help us out with good areas to fish I would be grateful.
I had an uncle that used to fish up there allot and he always swore the manford area was the big cat honey hole but hes passed on now so I don't know exactly where. I'm open about anywhere up there so long as the fishing good.

Keystone is picking up! Went out thursday for 1.5 hours and caught 21, fished today and fought the wind, ended aith 25 in 4 hours. Been fishing with the new Huckabee Dingo rod and I have to say, I have a new favorite. Been catching my fish on the outaide of docks that are sitting in 8- 18 feet of water on brush. Vertical jigging electric chicken. Been fishing the northern side of the lake. Water clarity is about 8 inches.
Josh you are one tough hombre to fish today

Caught over 200 the last 2 days. Brought home a 2 man limit today from 15- 25 feet of water. Was jigging around docks using the Huckabee dingo rod. So much sensitivity. Was using 2, 1/8 ounce jig heads both with electric chicken. Hit up 15 docks and the bridges between mud creek and salt creek.

Caught 59 yesterday in the beautiful weather. Also caught 39 thursday between 11- 14 inches. Did not get a picture due to time restraints
Nice fish Josh
How do I rotate them?? Thanks!
I just save the picture on my desktop and open it in windows photo viewer. At the bottom it gives you an option to rotate the photo. Once you rotate it where you want, it saves the change after you close it. Real easy once you do it
Just send me a pm and I can do it for you. In fact I was going to turn it and saw the next post. You only have a few minutes to edit. I save them to my desktop, rotate them, add it to your post, then delete the sideways. Sounds like a lot but only takes a minute or so. I probably do a half dozen a week. Glad to help anytime. "D"
Well I turned it anyway. Nice mess of fish. Way to go.
