I use powder paint on jig heads but not on spoons. It could be done by purchasing a powder paint pot but the powder paint would probably be more expensive than the vinyl paint. The solution to powder paint getting into the eyes is to straighten and heat a paper clip with a propane torch and pass the end of the paper clip through the painted shut eye. The hot paper clip will pass through the eye without resistance. I have used the vinyl paint for many years with good success. Another problem with using powder paint is that it would be difficult to apply the glitter. I have made spoons with and without glitter and the glitter makes a profound difference. I can only assume it gives the appearance of scales. I don't cover the spoon with glitter just a few pieces on each side will provide good results.
