Water temp? Rod used? Line used? Minnows used?

Water temperature is 85 degrees. I used my own custom 7' ultra light bait casting rod. No minnows but used a G-daddy Fat Minnow in the Lightning color. The line I useded was Sufix braid with a 3' Trilene tippet. No live bait was used as I typically don't use live bait.

Saw my back surgeon yesterday. He said I still had another 18 months of recovery to go. Nothing like an encouraging word to cheer a guy up.

Hopefully sooner than 18 months!

We found some good fish in 17 feet of water around brush piles, not necessarily in the piles. Same pattern for three separate spots. Chartreuse 2 inch tubes.

I made an opportunity to go today. Only 11 fish but all over 14". I caught smaller fish shallow and larger fish beneath them. Used my G-Daddy 1" minnow.

That's a nice stringer!

I am not getting large numbers of fish but I am getting large fish. Between 10 and 20 a day.
