Ok, this ain't fair! She went again while I was working. 3-5 she caught her limit of spawned out females. Only 2 males. I came after work at 6 and caught 1!!ONE!

Kansas and Missouri is sending you a package down your way, it should be coming down the river soon
good to hear that you have fishing spawning there. We still don't have any sign of it happening here in kansas, haven't caught any males on the bank yet and female all have eggs. Look like you caught a keeper though.

Thanks skeeter. I did catch a keeper! but that package your sending may slow down fishing reports for sure. She's rising fast and I see they are running 70000 against 200000 coming in. Looks like cat fishing time!

Does anyone know what kind of habitat I need to be targeting for some blue cats with the current flood? Not asking for specific locations, just in general as I'm not very well versed on finding mr. whiskers... My first assumption would be anywhere that a pasture or other type of flatish ground is currently flooded. Bernice park comes to mind. Just wanting to get some eater sized blues.

I caught a few cats at Bernice state park yesterday. Biggest around 15#or so.

Dyabolical, I assume they were shallow and not in the channel due to the high water?

I would say 10' or less, grassy areas.
