Didnt Fish this morning but heard it was packed by a couple people. As for a bait shop, normally there is, but I do believe the store next to the fish house is closed for the holidays. Not sure when they are scheduled to re open. Most people use jigs there. There are a couple chairs there that are very cheap plastic chairs. They work, but cant promise there will be any available. You can always bring your chair if one is needed. no Benches at the fish house. good Luck if you go, make sure to post your results

Bobo and I met dinobo and ifish1 down there this morning. We got there bout 7:30 and I think got in on the tale end of looked like a pretty good early bite. The inside was elbow to elbow and guys were fishing on top of each other. I chose to stay outside and break ice for a spot to drop my jig. Knocked 6 of em in the head just as soon as it stopped going down, then it was over. Pretty slow but got to meet dinobot and visit with Floyd which was cool. We'll go back.

No limit for me. I got there early and about 6:30 I felt like Custer. I think I counted 27 inside at one time. It did begin to wind down about the time crappiepapa and Bobo got there. I stayed around until about 1:30 thinking it might pick back up, but not while I was there. I did get home with enough for supper and another meal or so. I cleaned them the way I used to, but haven't done in a long time. There was much more meat by filleting without cutting through the rib bones. It would be too slow if you had a bunch but it didn't take very long for 20 fish. There were an awful lot of small fish hit the buckets but there was a fair share of 10-11" as well. I had one 8" I kept because when I pulled him up be saw the crowd and died. Nice visiting with the guys!

I was inside fighting for space as Pappa was outside freezing his face. I caught 9 and kept 6. It seemed to me that the moment I would move to take one off of the hook someone would either move into my spot or try to move me to get to my spot. A couple of times I would look down at the pole tip and someone would have have their tip about an inch or two away from mine when there were feet of room. Don't get me wrong when the bite was on it was a blast. We got there right at the end of the bite. When the bite died off it just flat out died. You couldn't get a nibble with a truckload of crappie nibbles. But like I said when it was on it was a blast. We are talking about heading back up in a few weeks and maybe hitting the dock around 4 or 5 a.m.

I strolled in around 5:45 and it was already elbow to elbow but managed to drop a jig in took me few minutes of watching the others to figure out the depth then a few more minutes to figure out they wanted the jigs still then it was on. I saw a ton of 8" - 9" fish caught and several 10" - 11". I ended up with 22 nice ones and threw several back most of which were caught before 8am. After that it was 3 or 4 per hour hoping they would pick back up but it didn't happen before I left at 6pm. I can't wait to go back but I'll be there a couple hours earlier. It was also a pleasure to meet crappiepappa and Floyd as well as see Bobo again.
