I just sent Bobo a text. It's already worse than it was supposed to get and it's gonna go on all night and into tomorrow. Some highways are already closed. I would reconsider the drive.

I remember one time the weather came and dumped a ton of snow and ice on us in March one year. This was back when I was still drinking. Somehow or someway in my foggy mind the next mornig, my Father and I thought all of the fish in Lake Keystone would be under the heated dock the next morning. We must have passed 50 cars along the highway that had run off the road or wrecked. We ended up stopping at Woodies Corner to get some bait on the way to the dock. Someone had dump a beautiful female German Shepard in the parking lot with a five pound bag of junk dog food that was not even opened up.

I opened the truck door and called out "Come here Lady" and she ran over and jumped up in the truck with me acting like that was were she was suppose to be all along. That precious dog rode around with me for the next ten years or so. She was extremely loyal and go to be one of my best friends ever. I actually have tears in my eyes typing this. She passed on a few years ago due to cancer. She never let on that she was sick. We took into the vet on a Friday and had some test ran because she had lost some weight. She passed the following Monday when I was at work. I miss her.

Anyway, the reason I told that story is sometimes, some really good things can come out of getting out in stuff that others think you shouldn't get out in.

Fished with Swollencrappie at the fish house today and got to meet some fine fellas. Josh is a good guy to give Bobo and I some tips for that hole. Josh was a bit disappointed for havings us drive all the way over for what the locals were calling a bad day. He threw 11-12 from his basket into mine, and I ended up with 34 in the ice chest for ride home. Can't see how you call that slow! Bobo got cold feet and went up to my truck. When they quit, he had it all nice and warm for me. (Thanks Bobo)! LOL. I'll be back over there on the 26th!!! Thanks SC. Pleasure getting to meet and fish together.

It was not that I got cold feet. It was the fact that when I exhaled ice cubes came out of my mouth. That is the reason that I went and got in the truck when the fish slowed down. LOL What can I say, I hate the cold. I did enjoy it though. Great place and I plan on being back on the 26th.

Sounds like a good trip to me,but when you are at the level of SC, maybe that is a slow day. Wish I could have made it! Were they on jigs, minnows or both? I would like to have seen Bobo's ice cubes. lol

Jigs but no particular one. As always depth was critical.

Yes, as Pappa said. Depth was probably more of a factor than any jig or plastic today. I was getting them on Snake River's baby shad is Chart and on jigs with a chart tail inside. Pappa said outside they were not getting anything on Chart.
