Show you another little trick you can use on your bottom jig. I use a small bobber stop on the line to keep my bottom blade from sliding up the line on the fall. You can use a small split shot but I don't like using them on small diameter line. These are called sinker stops @ Bass pro and you get 45 of them in multiple colors for 2.69. This keeps the blade close to the jighead on the fall and doesn't damage the line like a split shot. The Bobby Garland slab tickers come in 0 and 1 sizes. The sinker stops are real small and we use them on slip corks as well. Easy to adjust and they hold tight. They do sell the same thing at Bass Pro called bobber stops and you get half as many for double the price because they come with plastic beads. The sinker stops are the exact same thing. Appreciate you posting this illustration, plan on using when hit the dingy Kansas waters. Be interesting to experience the difference.

Nice fish, 2 pounds 5 ounces. Checked when I got home on two different scales to make sure. BTW, fish are starting to bunch up a bit. Water temp was 51-53. Was able to catch fish from 10 to 30 feet deep but the best concentrations of fish are 20 to 25 feet deep. I saw decent schools of shad at 20 feet deep, prolly why the crappie are there. Used minnows, had to slow down a bit, but if the fish were there you could get a hand-full off each pile. Decent day once I figured out the pattern. Kept 17.
