Nice report. That sunset alone would make the trip worthwhile. And who needs a bow or gun? That buck could be taken with a lasso.

The fishing has slowed way down and the Kansans have moved south for the winter.

Fall pattern starting to get better on Kaw, caught a dozen nice fish after work last night, 12 to 17ft deep in 25 fow, all on jigs, didnt matter what color. Water starting to clear up a bit north of sarge,, Just wanted to say that I seen a couple of older men with KS tags in Silver Dodge Crew cab towing a ranger cleaning fish at the ramp and throwing their fish off in the weeds at the top of the boat ramp at Sarge, GIVES US ALL A BAD NAME!!!!! Please haul your remains back to the water!!! Rant over!!! LOL

Yesterday with the boys. Oh man is all I can say about this trip. Redge and my over grown 2 year old son came yesterday. We went for a little scouting trip, and found some hungry fish. So, Redge has been putting on his clinic for the entire morning. RDJ (Doug) brought his fishing licenses and coffee. The fish were deeper than we expected, but they could not stay away from Frank300's MoMagic! It was pulling fish when they were not even on the graph! Well Ciller, it nice to see that i can attract more fisherman like you. So at 11, RDJ was out of coffee and into the play pin. Redge and I are trying to fish off the front, and he is on his knees pointing at the bigger fish in the livewell and wanting us to turn around and look every 4 seconds. "Daddy look at this one, lets weight that one, lets measure them all"!! over and over. Look at him in the picture! I caught one with teeth. Doug handled him till i thought he was dead! The funniest thing that happened yesterday, was at the end of the day, Doug was talking to his wife. Telling her a successful story, I knew she had asked how many did he catch, he tried to pull it off by saying "mine", but he meant nine! yep, he managed nine all day! as you can see in the downscan, we were knee deep in fish! He told us, he only caught those, because it was to much trouble figuring out how much line to leave out for the swing into the boat. He would have had 2 more if he could have figured that length thing out before 3pm. I cant wait to take them again!

    Water temp was 43
    DOW 25
color did not seem to matter as much, but solid gray and red/black MoMagic was best
