Nice catch! I am glad you got some fish off your piles, makes the work worthwhile.

We used persimmon tops. Sunk them from 6-13 ft. Orange/chartreuse and purple/chartreuse seemed to be best color of jigs. Nothing huge, just good fat crappie. DStreet threw a fish at me and cut my heel so I may need stitches today.

Yikes, I guess your going to have to start wearing shoes around him, and maybe a hard hat.

Thanks for the warning on Darrel. Kinda tough to fish when you gotta keep one eye on your partner. My buddy feels the same way ever since I knocked off his glasses and hat with a big slab on her way to the livewell. Didn't call glass but crappie, hat and glasses all fell in the well! He showed up with a hard hat on the next time out! That was 5 minutes into our first fishing trip together since high school in the 60s and his safety has kind of gone downhill since! Don't know why he hasn't pushed me overboard by now- I think it's my sandwiches.
