Man, that's a nice mess of crappie!
I fished Saturday and it was a weird day for me. Launched about 8am and started my search since my last trip there was our February tournament. I marked some piles with a few fish on them mid lake and circled down wind to fish them just as the wind went from 5mph to 15mph with gusts. Wasted a good half hour trying to fish on top of pile with trolling motor ( I hate to anchor). Pulled back into a cove and dipped some standing timber but not much to be had there so I decided to try spider rigging. Only my second time to try it. Too much bouncing on main lake. Went to Washunga and it was more protected from west wind. Caught a bunch of suspended vergels 12ft down in 20 fow. Me being hard headed did not listen to what the bigger fish were telling me until very late in the day. They were shallower suspended over rock in 12fow 6-10 feet down. Also tried river channel piles but too much current. Should have gone back yesterday with new found knowledge.

Fished Kaw Friday morning. Lake is up and rising. Lots of trash in the water along with tons of moss. Fished the south end along the rocks, and didn't have any success on crappie. Picked up 6 nice sandbass on crankbaits. Decided to call it a day, and trolled along the dam looking for hybrids. Lures were running 16', and started picking up crappie right in front of the dam gates, suspended in 70 FOW. Caught 4 short crappie in the same area, before heading for the house. Looks like the lake level has stabilized today.
