Lake is now dropping over a foot a day with no rain in the forecast. It is only 7 ft high as of this evening. Looking pretty good if they continue with the current release.

Don't stop at Kaw we sent all ours to Keystone. I'm gonna try them Friday and see if I can catch one of the last 3 here.
Don't know about the upper end, but the lower lake is still chocolate milk color. About 6" visibility is as good as it gets, but it's an improvement from a week ago.

Gonna hit them hard tomorrow. Don't mind the muddy water. Have done well in the past just fish shallower. Water temp is 67 deg so it's time.
Fished from 10 this morning until 3. Cannot believe number of boats on the water this time of year. Campgrounds are almost full. Between Blackpowder season starting tomorrow and fall break at most schools, the lake is packed with people. Fished between 8 and 12 fow and ended up with 8 nice crappie between 1.5 and 2.3 lbs. Caught bigger fish on BG baby shad in black/chart tipped with shiners on a double drop shot rig. Water is from muddy north to murky south. Water temp averaged 66 to 69 deg. Fish were holding over brush. Confident we could have caught more fish with less boat traffic.
Thanks for the report Tim should get better soon.
Fished Washunga and some piles around sarge sat am for a few hours, NOT ONE BITE!!! Chocolate Milk
