Chartreuse and brownish color, size was the biggest they had at the one stop. I am guessing 2 inches.

Fished Kaw Monday. Caught twelve 14 inches and bigger, five 12 to 14 inches, five 10 to 12 inches, kept a total of 24 fish. Only threw back 3 smallish fish all day. The bigger fish all weighed around 1 1/2 pounds if my scale is correct. Fished timber, break lines, and brush. Shallowest was in 9.5 FOW deepest was 22 FOW. They were mostly at 8 feet deep no matter the depth of the water. Used black and pink 2 inch woolly bees tipped with minnows. Crammed a gallon bag, could not have put one more fillet in it. Weighed the bag for fun, came in at 7.71 lbs. The board on the live well box lid is 14" on the short side. Attachment 128491Attachment 128492Attachment 128493Attachment 128495

Thanks Redge. It was a spectacular day. I was very pleased
Fishers, WOW, I AM impressed. That's a nice haul, congratulations. Redge, I agree with you, I think I need a guide trip with him also!
I think your correct woodworker!
Wow Fishers! Another great day for you. If I had the time I would stop spying on Ranger and start stalking you. Way to be!
Hit Kaw again today. Caught 20 with 15 good ones, same sizes as last trip. With the wind shift the fish were on the opposite sides of the coves from monday. The wind was stacking the shad up on windy banks. If I found shad around timber and a break at 10-13 FOW I found fish, If I couldn't, I could not buy a bite. I was glad for the wind tho, it was burner today.
Went to Kaw for the first time on Saturday the 15th. Didn't have much luck. Caught a small large mouth, two nice white bass and a large crappie. I wanted to buy some minnows and try them but didn't see a bait shop on the way in to the lake. I put my boat in a sarge Creek. Does anyone know where a good bait shop around kaw is located?
