LOL I couldn't post a picture of Jeff holding a crappie and me holding a nasty sandbass. Plus Jeff caught them all. EB

Ok Ledge-excellent post and I'm glad I wasn't drinking a diet coke when I read it cause that stuff hurts when blasted thru my nose! Those are all well known references except Whispers Wagon- which I hope Kevin or Gaston or somebody will clear up for me. Please.

KC Masterpiece and I caught 47 today fishing from Clear Creek to Three Fingers with jigs and minners. We saw a lot of fish in about 20 fow that just would not bite. Ended up catching most of em in about 5' in and around lay downs with their root balls still on dry land. Kept 5 real nice fish for supper and 3 of us ate til we didn't even want dessert any more- pretty filling for just 5 fish. Had to quit early so we were too rushed to take pictures- wife says I need to slow down and fish less frantically but Kyle and I agree that we need to fish every trip like its our last one cause who knows? It might be!

CC, as you get older, your stomach shrinks. therefore, you do not need much more than a morsel. I pretty confident i could eat 5 fish whole, by myself! and Kyle, well i have already sized him up. give him a PBJ and he would be stuffed.

You nailed Kyle and I appreciate that you suggest that my stomach is shrinking but it ain't so Jethro- those were nice fish and even nicer sides including jalapeņo and green onion hush puppies. And I might have filled up a little on my boat snacks as well. As you know I rock the boat snacks just in case.

    Default report

Fishers and I attacked Gibson Saturday. It was tough! We only fished the river. The fish we did catch were 7-10'. I caught lots of short fish and 10" fish on hair jigs. We caught "Genesis" short for in the beginning of our trip ( first drop). not knowing he was the end also. no real pattern was ever established. We took Genesis home and released him for a better day.

Ledge is being kind by leaving out a few choice details. Such as, "cough", I didnt catch a crappie until 3:30 pm. I was supposed to go down and see Pappa and crew after fishing, but I was so disappointed I just went home and sulked. P.S. the big bright jigs that work great at Sardis dont work so great at Gibson!

Don't feel to bad fishers. Only 5 keepers in my boat for two days of fishing.
