Day 2 with Steve n Ronda which have become new and lifelong friends. What we found on day 2 was lots of current which made the open main lake wood non fishable, and the fish were absent from all the wood we fished the day before. With that said we did a lot of scanning and exploring today to become successful. Short rods cast n dragging to take the active fish off the new wood, then vertical jigging to remove the spooked fish from inside the wood. High Standard Rods preformed amazingly while getting the toads out of deep brush, and sensitive to feel the lightest bite. Baits in Pearl and Pearl/Chartreuse were the colors today. Finished up on trees in 54' of water where Steve came alive. After Ronda fought a PIG earlier in the day and losing her as she jerked to hard trying to get her in the boat, the boat bottom will now need some repair from all the stomping she did after being rejected from that big girl.
