Jiggin, ran to burnt cabin this weekend, about 5% of the fish that I have been seeing in the other places. Surprised me, you or Ranger find fish it that area this time of year?

Redge, I do not find fish on the lower end of the lake this time of year. Well not enough to fish for anyways. I always fish the upper end in the winter and early spring, then move down to lower end around mid april to late may.

Good to see you too Redge. After I spoke with you I caught the snot out of them at that brush pile in the cove across from you. All whites, all 10"-12". Later ran downlake to look at some spots that I thought might hold fish, was not good, fish were very sparse. Also seemed like the farther I went the less the shad.

Glad you found the BP! It is weird how they aren't in the cool spots, we think they could/should be at. Guess I don't think like a crappie, yet!

Fishers I keep forgetting thats you in that tracker. I remember you being a great smallmouth fisherman too! You remember that? I thought you had a gar!

    Redge thanks for the tips.

We caught lots of 9-10 inch fish Saturday, ending up keeping 27 nice fish. EB

That was an awesome fish, and I learned a lot from you on that guide trip. With all the great crappie fishing I forget that Eufaula holds some good smallmouth. If there was a window for small mouth before the crappie spawn starts I sure would give it a shot. Do you ever target them?

Good day on the water. Didn't catch a limit, but it was a nice day on the water. Had the lake to myself and managed to get enough for dinner tonight. Bite was slow and soft, several fish just picked up bait and took pressure off the line. Fish were in 45-55 fow holding to trees at 30 ft.
