Yes, yes. I must apologize. My compassion was for you not the shorties. I would have hated to hear that you had been introduced to the wardens clicker & bucket on a lake with both a reduced limit and size restrictions. Double the fines = double the fun.

If the weather people had said it was going to blow 20 mph, I would have stayed home!! Rough out there today, everywhere I wanted to fish was in white caps. Lots of dinks and very few keepers. Had a nice time out with family!! Above 82 bridge was a dead zone last time I checked, and the same today. Saw lots of bald eagles!!! Never found the shad today.

I was out bass fishing today and saw some fish on the sonar in 35-40 FOW along one of the bluffs in the Petit Bay area. Turned out to be crappie. I ended up with 15 keepers and probably threw that many dinks back. I tried a bunch of different colors but the only one that worked for me was a hot pink/pearl BG baby shad that I dipped in chartreuse dye. The water was kinda dingy in that area so I was trying to make the brightest jig that I could. Nice sunny day, calm winds, and I got to watch several eagles while I fished. Hard to beat a day like that.

Heading up to Tenkiller tomorrow will be solo if anyone wants to tag along. I am not that good of a fisherman, but will hang in there as long as you want. Plus all my piles I fish are in shallow water, so it may be a long tough day for me. PM me if you want to go.

Well not much to report on my outting. Got on the lake at 8 and fished till about 945 when one of my trolling motor batteries went south. Thought about hooking up my big motor battery, but the wind was already keeping me from fishing in to many areas. Caught 3 dinks off one pile in about 22' of water. I looked for some new stuff, but decided I just needed to head in and reorganize and try it another day. For some reason I just couldn't get into it this morning.

Might have been a good thing no one took me up on my offer to fill the extra seat........

Sorry about your batteries! Just replaced mine about a month ago, 5 years old, think that's good enough for me.
