Way to go Ranger! Glad you all had a good day. Those are some pretty fish! I still don't understand all the females still having good eggs? I would think some would be spawned out. Maybe I am just looking in the wrong place.

Mark, great photos! Good Crappie and I love to catch those brownies.
I'm dying to get on the water. I should have my fence building finished tomorrow so I'm looking for a day trip to Tenkiller. I want to check out a storage site for my travel trailer and I'll probably drag the boat along and fish for a couple hours Right now, I'm looking at Friday since rain is in the forecast for a couple of days. I haven't had a chance to spend time with the new Lowrance.
Fridays forecast is NE winds at 5 to 12 here and 82 degrees..would be a beautiful day for some Tenkiller fishin...Ranger
Kirk think about this...A human take 9 months for the baby to hatch..now some are hatched early and some held just alittle longer. SO its the same for a crappie, bass, walleye, ect. Not all fish will spawn at the sametime. A few of the fish I caught are pretty white with not much color before I put them in the LW. That tells me that they just came from really deep water which is much colder than the shallow water. Their eggs were really yellow and the sacks had big blood vessels. With the type of weather we had early with a front right after another and fishing is shorts one day and coveralls the next thats a big factor. I have seen this happen many times thru out the years. I have caught spawning fish from mid March til Mid June. Its just something Mother Nature does to protect the species is the best guess I have....Ranger
Thanks for the info ranger!
Tuff day on Tenkiller yesterday with Eufaula Boy(Brian). Hit lots of wood and only managed 14. I think that was the count, with some through backs. Pretty much had to vertical jig the piles to get them to hit. Enjoyed Brian calling me at the last minute to fill the empty seat in his boat. He told me a story about fishing at night and I am still having a hard time believing him. :biggrin
Take that night fishing story to the bank Jamie. Saw it first hand and it works.... Ranger
Got on the water late, my uncle went with me. Had a great time, brought home 6 really good fish, up to 2#. Tons of throw backs!!
I was on the water this morning. I couldn't buy a fish today.
I plan on being on tomorrow late morning or around noon. Probably spend most of my time playing with a new depth finder.
