Another banner day on Tenkiller..had 30 Crappie in the LW at 11:27am. Got a late start not knowing what the wind was gonna do..well it blew like crazy..Still was able to catch our limits and was culling fish before noon..ended up with 50 total keeper fish but only cleaning our limit of 30..males are black as the ace of spades and the females are spewing eggs all over the boat when you lift them out of the water..ITS ON..brushpiles worked best in the 6' to 14' depths..the competition is getting worse with alot of boats on the water so not all piles are holding fish due to being fished before you get to them. best baits were bobby garlands in sliver shad and blue thunder plus bass assassins in albino shad and white pearl..and do not be afraid to throw a few road runners either cause they are gettin hot

total of 89 keeper crappie...today my son finally got aday off that he could fish with the old man and what a beautiful day. We caught a limit of 45 by 11:30am and before the day was over we had caught a total of 89 keeper crappie cleaning only 45 which was our limit today with 3 fisherman. The water temps were 64.3 as the fog was lifting off the lake and 66.5 in the afternoon. Favoite colors were, It didnt matter as long as you got close to them. Caught alot more dinks today than we have in years so maybe the limit of 15 and the size limit has helped some. Its on for sure at Tenkiller due to my boat looking like an egg factory and the males are truly black and beautiful..heres a pic of my son holding a lil 1..2lb 9ozAttachment 59434

after sitting in the house for 2 days watching the wind blow I decided to give it a try..unloaded at Petit Pay at 8:15 and put first crappie in LW at 9:03.. the water had cooled off 11 degrees and the bite was very light. Ended up with 18 total keeper crappie and cleaned a limit of 15..fished all the way to the mouth of Dry Creek above the hwy 82 bridge and the water did warm up alittle to 62.1 degrees by 2 pm..was a cold and windy day but any day on the water is better than working//WT at unloading was 60.4 at 8am and was 62.1 when I loaded..saw only 2 other crappie fisherman, 1 was fishing the trees in 45' in the mouth of petit and he had caught 3 keeper fish..another was above the 82 hwy bridge and he had 9 and had fished for 5 hrs..cold front put the clamp on them lips I guess..

Checked out down the lake today, unloaded at Petit North Ramp and fished down past Chicken Creek..unloaded at 7:35 and only had 9 crappie in the boat a 12 noon..hit everything I thought would hold a crappie between Petit and Chicken Creek..the 9 I had were very huge crappie but no numbers..the water temp at Petit was 62.6 degrees and the further I went down the lake the colder it got 60.3 at Chicken Creek..first tip..the spawn hasn't hit down in the crystal clear water yet..turned around and headed for Cherokee Landing area and above the hwy 82 bridge..well to make a long story short cleaned a limit of 15..caught 41 total keeper crappie, had 15 of the biggest, prettiest, sow crappie I have probably ever had in my boat..wish it had been a tourny would of loved to see the total weight of that bunch..with water temps in the upper end at 65.8 degrees and the eggs were running when you would lift them into the boat..maybe I should of said lipped them, the 15 were 2 big to lift with 4lb test line.

Oh man you are making me jealous. Somehow it seems that the perfect fishing weather is always during the work week! I am going Friday after noon hope to get on them. We fished from the Elk Creek ramp up the lake. The wind really messed with us, hopefully this weekend will be better.
