Had a good day of catchin yesterday, not a bad day of keepin 31 nice size crappie for the hot grease!Caught a GAZILLION small fish.Out of the 31 only about 3 females big enough to keep.Caught them 1-3 fow under a cork and casting and dragging.I was out there all day daylight to dark enjoying the beautiful day.I took a break 11-330 at Calypso Cove marina, sat on the shaded porch watching the hummingbirds and having lunch.Went over to the other marina and sat and visited with some local guys that hang out there till about 330.My Son was coming out at 5, so I went and hit a point and started catching saugeye on the same bait I caught my crappie,I caught most everything on MR CRAPPIE SHADPOLE CURLY TAIL BLACK RED FLAKE CHARTRUSE TAIL! This bait has one of the best curly tail actions I have ever used.GETTING back to the SAUGEYE I caught 12 all 16 - 17 inches, must be 18 inches to keep.I lost probably half that many more.I had a blast from 330 -5.Went and picked up Son and went back to crappie hole and started catching them about 1 hour before dark every cast, all small fish.I have come to a conclusion of its not always about KEEPIN but about the time you can spend on the lake without the pressure of CATCHIN the biggest and the time I could fish with my SON! Who else can say they caught a GAZILLION FISH yesterday? THE END!!!!!!!

I got out there around 2pm yesterday, marked tons of fish in several locations, threw jigs and minnows, but only caught a few and all dinks. Saw several others fishing and didnt see anyone catching anything. The ones I did catch were in 14-18 fow and all caught just off the bottom. Tried the dam from about 715 to 8 with no luck. Several bank fisherman along the dam and didnt see anyone catching, so I parked the boat, caught 1 sandbass in the slip in front of mine, then headed to the house to watch the Thunder. Going back sometime this morning whenever my grandson wakes up!! better be soon. lol

Did you guys see the news?? I usually fish the Clear Bay dock and I just saw that they found the body of a woman at the campsite there with obvious signs of trauma... This kinda freaks me out. Was it a random act of violence? Was it a planned attack? I'm a girl and I always fish alone, because my husband hates fishing. I had planned to go out tomorrow morning, but now I'm not so sure... That poor woman and her family.

That's why my dog is my fishing pal , she's super nice but very protective . That's sad and the reason why I stay away from draper , just started going to thunderbird bought some lighted corks headlamps today so I can fish at night but that just changed my mind .

That's very sad. That's why I always take my fishing buddy 9mm XD rather have it and not need it.
