SNaylor - I will be headed out there on Saturday mid morning and plan to fish all afternoon maybe to dark. What do you think this small cold front will do to the crappie out there? Its been almost a year since I really crappie fished the lake so I am looking for a starting place. What areas and type of structure should I concentrate on if they are not in shallow? If you plan to go Saturday let me know and maybe we can hook up and tag team a few spots and really put a hurtin on them slabs.

Can't wait !!!The cold front won't slow them down that much, they won't be up on the bank either try any standing timber, brush concrete structure like twin bridges any of the wildlife department posted areas they all have brush little axe dock has a mark fishing area just off the dock about 60 yards can't miss it . If you go to the oklahomawildlifedepartment department.com and it has place in the web site that will tell you where all there mark areas are if you can see the boat in the profile that's the boat I'll be on hope to see you out there good luck and good fishing !!!!
Any suggestion for bank fishing? Do I need to wait for another week to fishing?
The rip rap at the dam is excellent when they move in. Only problem is it's hard to navigate by foot. I attack it in sections and cast parallel to the bank about 5-10' out at various depths. I use a bobber and slowly retrieve. When they are there you'll get one every cast.
I will ahead to dam this late afternoon and try some small grubs and tubes with a bobber. If I catch something, I will report it. lol
My best time there is sunrise. Sure after dinner would produce too. Might be a little early though for crappie to be up on it thick.
I think the warm water temperature may attract more fish to the shallow water. So I fish after dinner. But not catch a lot so far. I should try fishing sunrise.
Do you now where I can rent a boat for fishing. Never try boat fishing before. But very interested in it.
Water was 52.2 at the marina Wednesday afternoon. Up 10 degrees in 8 days from when I had checked it last. Some more warm days and a nice rain with some runoff will bring it up pretty quick. Pulled my boat out of the marina today to get her fixed and cleaned up for the summer AND my xi5 mounted that's in my garage! Can't wait! :cheers2
Awesome. Thanks SNaylor! I would have tried those same areas after I tried shallow so thanks for saving me some time by not fishing shallow. I will be in a grey Lowe aluminum deep v with walk thru windshield so come and say hey. Ill do the same of I see u. I might try some spider rigging in the deeper water around the road bed

My Xi5 will be here Tuesday! ETEC was suppose to be here this week but didn't show. Better be here next week as 2 weeks turned into 5 weeks!
