Fished Tbird Tuesday of this week and last Tuesday also. Last Tuesday in the gale of a wind we picked up a few mostly on the southern side of the lake. Yesterday we caught all but 4 of the approx. 50 total on the Hog Creek arm of the lake. We were fishing standing timber in 12-18 FOW and catching them from 5' to the bottom. The catch of the day was, about 5 minutes after a rod I had laid on the seat hanging over the side and got pulled into the lake, my buddy thinking at first he was hung up, pulled the rod in hooked in the first eye!! We just looked at each other and said what are the odds of that happening!!
My uncle and I were fishing McMurtry in a log pile, and had a fish pull one in. A week later we were there and he pulled up a line. His rod was still attached. He baited up and went back to using it.
Lol
hey boat, yall been fishing with jigs or minnows? or both? if both which produced best?
Minnows far and away out do jigs when connected to my rods!! Thumbs Up
haha. u must not have the touch that i do...jk
I KNOW I don't have the jig touch!! I've tried several..................million times!! I have a boat load of jigs and go thru spells of trying them but never seem to have any luck with them. I'm thinking a lesson is in order here sometime?? :))
Uuuuuuhhhhh, yeah
I have found that some lakes are jig lakes and some lakes are minnow lakes. I'm always using minnows on Oologah except in the winter but I don't believe I've ever put a minnow into Eufaula. One or the other seems to work better in different places. Go with what catches fish!
