    we went to Brookville Sunday with Yates and Starvin and what a sight to see.They unhooked the boat on the way down the ramp and were try to pass us to get to the hot spot 1st.yates slammed on the breaks and that was the 1st time i ever saw a bass boat fly...Man i gotta trade this Ranger in for one of those flying Tritons..Dont think Ranger makes that model!!We got it back on the trailer with no harm but a couple scratches.Then we started fishing,slow bite out deep caught 1 shallow.We went back deep and nothing so back to the muddy shallows it its. Bite was on fire so we called our whippin boys Netman and starvin(now known as the flying dutchman) and ended up with 100 plus crappies with only about 30 being keepers.Fun day but no Eastfork.Inow know the true meaning of HOOPLEHEAD,IT WAS LIKE FISHING WITH MY BROTHERS KIDS I HAD TO TELL THEM WHERE,HOW DEEP AND WHAT COLOR.Atleast he brought the BULLETS!!!

    You forgot how your Chev would not pull the trailer out of the water...

    Thanks again for helping us "rookies" get my boat back on the trailer. I'm glad there wasn't any damage. It was in the shop for 3 months getting the stearing updated to hydraulic. Saturday was the first time I had it out. I ran it up and down the lake a few times testing the stearing. I guess the trailer boards frooze from the evening before, just enough to allow it to slide.

    I spent thirty minutes trying to get my boat started .. Come to find out the kill switch was not fastened properly. By the sound of it I wasn't the only one having problems yesterday

    just a quick heads up, brookville has iced back over in quite a few places. templton creek is iced up clear to the main lake. The fairfield causeway is iced up for sure on the south side, and appears to be on the north side as well.
    Im sure you can get out, but getting very far may require breaking some ice.
    Ice is only about 1-2 thick. Should be no problem for the weekend warrior, but if ya sneek over in the next day or so, be advised.
    ramps are 99% clear of snow and ice.

    I about had my boat slide back in this past winter when I pulled it out of the water on frozen bunks and forgot to hook it. Can't say I've ever seen one fly though. Man are you guys lucky you didn't break something! Or somebody for that matter.
