DOES'NT look like we will be out this weekend.
Long range forcast looks to be a warming trend starting Monday(of course) so if the rains don't get too bad it should be good after this weekend.
DON'T FORGET...new fishing license are due March 1st. Ohio, Indiana and Ky are all expiring.
I'm game as long as it's not froze over.Phil went back Tuesday and said the bite was bad.He said the fish backed off..
Hmmmm, My Indiana doesn't expire until 3/31/09.. Bonus month!!

your good till the end of march here in hoosierville.
Brookville wont freeze back over. heck its been a few years since it froze up like it did this year. However where i was fishin, there still was some remaining ice in the standing timber(can you guess where i was fishing? LOL) that might tighten back up, enough to cause boating probelm. But the main lake should still be wide open, even with a week of temps like this.
I too went back a few days ago, and found the same crappies as before, except they refused to bite, or even follow a bait.

OOOPS, I thought Indiana was due 1st of March also. I haven't had an Indiana license in probably 15 years. I'm going to get one this year. I just wanted to put the reminder out there.
I guess I was hoping it was 1st of March as a friend of mine wants me to go to a few lakes with him in Indiana this year, Bruch Creek and Versails(sp?). I realy don't know much about either of these lakes. I think it was Starvin who had also mentioned Hogans Creek on another post. I haven't been there in over 20 years, and I thought it would be fun to try it again since I was going to buy the license anyway.
Hogan's Creek is one of the best crappie spots around.Lots of quality fish and usually very shallow. We go all the time,so give us a shout and we will put you on em..
