    Crappiemax

I'm kidding, that was a nice fish. The only place I've caught big fish close to that in Ohio was Indian lake. I have caught some bigger fish in Lake Fork Texas.

I would need alot longer than just on day to catch 5 of those out of EF in one day.

I'm going to sign up for net man for Tbone. I need to find his kicker hole.

Yates..."don't kiss up now...what a hopplehead.." you make me laugh!

For sure a slab ,Eastfork doesnt give up nothing like that. The closest place to catch fish like that is Monroe In. but they will be whites.

I had one (and only one) back in December that went probably close to 2 lb's right at the side of the boat. When I hooked it I thought it was a striper so I didn't care if i got it in or not. When I got it along side of the boat and I saw it was a crappie, of couse I lost it. I like fishing EF but I do struggle getting the better fish consistenly.

I've never been to Monroe, how far is it.
I do like Paint Creek. I only get to Paint creek a few times a year and I don't know it well but some days I get a pretty good average there.
I think some of the best crappie around here come from some of the Ohio River creeks but I still spend most of my time at EF.
I think about going up to Indian Lake, any size to the fish up there? Is it worth the drive from Cincy?

Indian and Buckeye are shallow and have slabs and good average but by far Monroe will give you a mounter chance.Monroe has tons of small fish and monsters but not alot in the 10 to 12 range.Monroe is 2 hours from cinti. and is like the lakes down south with flats 8 to 10 feet and channel 20 to 25 feet and well defined.Check out some of Solomon and Walters bags at Crappie usa .Not much different from Kentucky or Weiss lake.
