I have never fished Sandusky Bay for crappie, but am really interested in trying it this spring. I have a 17 ft bass tracker, and thought that either Sandusky Bay or West/East Harbor would be good. Can I just Drive my boat up and put in at either harbor and start fishing the harbors? Where is the best boat ramp to put in at Sandusky Bay for a boat my size? Sorry if these questions are elementary, I have just never put in a body of water that large, and I am really interested in giving it a try as the size of crappie up there really have me interested. Thanks!

Have never been to Lake Erie, Sandusky bay, or Sandusky river. Wanting to go this spring. Where would be a good place to start? Read a lot about east and west harbors. Is fishing in and around marina boats allowed? Google maps shows the harbors filled with boats. Is Sandusky river any good. Not looking for anyone’s specific spot, just a step in the right direction. Am new to forum, any help greatly appreciated.
