I was doing great a couple weeks back with water temps around 42 but what a difference those 5 degrees make on the fish. Couldn't catch any on jigs. We caught the few we caught on minnows. Truth be told, I probably missed a ton of bites since the bite was that light. I need to revisit my tackle for winter-time fishing. I think my bobbers aren't sensitive enough.

You might try opening the bend of the hook on your jigs, it can help with light bites
