Headed to the creek tonight. The Marathon gas station on 73 has stopped selling minnows for the winter :-( Fortunately I had some with me that I had been nursing at home for a couple of weeks.
All of the docks at the ramps have been removed for the winter. That made launching the boat a bit of a pain.
Water temperature was 47 degrees, air temperature was 33. Fished a cove and caught a total of 28 crappie, had 9 keepers with the largest being just over 11". I caught twice as many with a minnow under a bobber than I did with jigs. Was fishing in 20-22FOW, caught most at 11ft, but some at 5-6ft under the lights when it got dark.
