I love this rod. I splurged on one last year after my older jigging pole broke. I really think I catch a lot more fish with it. I do a bit of everything - trolling, casting. But single-pole, vertical jigging will always be my favorite.

Would the 10' or 12' be best for jig fishing?

    I have the 10'.

My previous pole was 12' and though I liked it, I just think the 10' is more manageable. I may try another 12' at some point though.
