What do you fellow crappie fishermen think of the crappie fishing at East fork lake this spring and rest of year due to fish kill last fall and spawn the last couple of years, good, fair, or poor? Any recent reports good or bad?
Thanks,

I haven't fish in a while but I was over at the dam ramp yesterday. That rain on Sunday night/Monday raised the lake about 5' and it was headed up in the trees a little. They were pulling the lake pretty hard when I got there and I heard the siren go off and they started pulling it even harder. It should be back to normal levels in a few days at this rate. Between the lake going up/down every time it rains and these crazy winds we've been having it's been a tough spring so far.
For those who don't know it there is a regatta going on this weekend so the dam ramp will be closed.
The fish kill was way over exaggerated. It was mostly carp. I didn't see any crappie floating. So far this year I would say the crappie fishing has been fair.
Anybody been recently, like this past weekend or this week ?

How do you think this will affect this year fishing? I want to take my grandson and get him into some crappie.
I've caught plenty of crappie this year. Maybe not as good as years past but it's still decent
Crappiemax... I did stay away from the lake for a little while after I heard about the fish dying so a lot of the Dead ones probably were cleaned up by the time I got over there. But the fishing is still pretty good this year
