I have to say I agree with that.

All joking aside, some fishermen do...this photo was sent to me from a third party, and I cropped it...I worked with one of the guys and he was always complaining that CJ didn't have any big Walleye anymore...he always said "fishermen should put the Big fish back to grow"...guess he didn't take his own advice!lol
I like Gators from 16 to 22 inches to eat...and I put Big Fish Back after a few pics.
I'm kinda weird about it, but I figure that if they survive that long, I'm not gonna be the one that kills them...IMHO, if I was starving then I could see a reason for killing them....but I'm not!
I caught a 31 incher in the creek and let him go, same with the 29 inchers from the lake that I've caught...just let two 15's go this week, because I didn't need them.
Lake management starts with the fishermen, but no matter what, some just don't care...just because it is legal, doesn't mean you have to harvest all the big fish if you catch them...people don't realize that it takes a long time to grow fish that size...then with everyone removing big fish, they complain because they don't understand why there are so few of them! KINDA FUNNY, HUH!

Fished the west side this afternoon with a couple of poles and a few dozen minnows. The action was steady from 1:30 when I got there and slowed down as the sun set. Varied depths between 8 and 14 ft. Caught most around 10-12ft.
Ended up one catfish, 3 bullheads, and 45-50 crappie (most of which were at or just under limit).
I guess you could say I caught a bunch of dam dinks![]()
Recently talked with the gentleman whom is working in the bait shop across from the outlet. This fall he is clearing a fence row full of Osage Orange. He wanted to know if we might be interested in it...
thinking about going tuesday to do some spider riggen now that the water has cooled down, anyone got any suggestions?
I'll be out there also in a gray fish-n-ski. Last week the water temp was 49 so it should be in the mid 40's by now. The big girls should be willing to play!
I saw Grandma Blugill on Friday, she said she was catching some plate sized gills last week!
