    Default Indian Report

Thanks for the help. Put in at Mound Wood ramp. Man, that lakes shallow. Headed toward Dream Bridge area and "oh, did I mention that lake is shallow". Cast twisters around some of the docks and caught a nice 10" right away. Cast hundreds of more times without a sniff. Tried shooting under a few docks, but I need a better set up and definitely more practice. Flinging jigs, flung the crappie nibbles off instantly, no matter how dried out the nibbles became. Next I tried a jig and cork around the easier docks, nothing. Tried some pads with minnows and caught 2 channel cats and a dink crappie. Carp were roaming through the pads like buffalo. They would go under the boat and bang the bottom. Lastly drifted Moon Bay and caught a dink crappie and another small cat. Clouds were gathering and knew showers were expected. Loaded up and headed home.
Had a good time, but can't wait for Caesars to fill up. All fish released.

What would be a good rod/reel set-up for flinging?

    Try a 5 to 7 foot med/lite spinning rod & reel with 4 to 6lb line with 1/64, to 1/16 oz jig
