For those of you who haven't been following the thread on the other site, looks like there's a good chance Buckeye Lake will be drained for dam repair. There are other options as well in a report by the Corp. Lots of controversy, as the state apparently allowed folks to build homes etc, on the dam, which has caused deterioration in the dam integrity. Sounds strange to me that anyone would build a home on a dam, but there it is. Can't imagine the huge fish in that lake gone--would take years to recover. At the least, they're not going to refill the lake and will keep it drawn down 3 feet for the foreseeable future, until they decide what to do to repair the dam.
