I've got 16ft BnM caps and Coleman series rods...... Not sure if there the best or not , but they work for me & I like em. Hi-tek rod holders. Cheapest reel u can find with a smooth drag

I have the Bee Ready spider rig system on my boat. Best on the market for the price, from my viewpoint. Similar in appearance to Tom 513 picture. Sold online out of Texas. Easy to install and rods remove easily when you have a strike. As far as spider rigging rods/reels, call the Grizzly Jig Company in Carruthersville, Missouri,
1-800-305-9866. Ask for Josh Gowan or Louis Mansfield. They are one of the best resources for this info in the region. Grizzly bundles their spider rigging rods in 3 or 4 pole bundles and will save you quite a bit of money.
Reels in a spider rig system are really not much more than line holders due to the suspending nature of crappie. Usually just lock in a depth and maintain that depth. So, reels can be quite inexpensive.
