I appreciate all the feedback! It looks as though the weather may inhibit me from being able to get out for a couple weeks. When I finally get out I will definitely post results good or not so good. Then my question at that time will be how to post pics on this forum. But I'll save that question until I have reason to ask it. Sure hope the weather cooperates soon because them dang birds will be gobblin soon and the fish will have to wait for my return. Good luck out there!

    Alright fellas,

Working on the boat getting it ready for the season and I am going to extend the front deck back some for more space and storage.

I am looking at using 1 inch square aluminum. I was wondering if anyone on here knows of a good place to get some. I'm looking at getting 30ft. This gives me enough for frame and new hatch braces.

Thanks and man CJ was choppy yesterday. I drove by and it looked like Erie with white caps, but it was open water.

Sam the former owner of the Boat House across from the Outlet Tower has Marina concession for the next 2 yrs...and btw the hump in the mouth of the Marina is about as `secret ` as the Outlet tower. The older larger map of the lake actually showed it...the 1 REALLY `good` walleye spot within 1000` of that hump I haven`t ever told even 1 person about it, not even YOU, Sir Intimidator...(nothing personal !) And make it a point to only fish it when literally am the ONLY person within sight...it`s so GOOD a spot I don`t even trust myself knowing where it`s at.

LMAO...."That was funny"...."I don't care who you are"!

Am I gullible enough to think that most Good spots haven't been found by someone....heck no!

One time I remember a "Secret" spot that a buddy had, the spot started declining badly and he couldn't figure out why....one day we were out and 4 other boats were all fishing "His Secret Spot"....then we come to find out that someone had posted a YouTube video of it and showed exactly where it was.

Remember...fish travel the same HIGHWAYS throughout their life, until they are re-directed by a natural force (need for food, need for cover, weather/blown/moved off course, area over-population, etc, etc).
If People continue to fish the same area, all those fish with that "Imprinted area" ARE GONE! It can take another whole yearly cycle for that area to become productive again!
If you aren't catching fish within 15 minutes to a half hour, then move....come back if you want BUT MOVE!
If you are just catching DINKS, MOVE!

I can honestly say that I hardly ever fish where others do....most of the GOOD spots at CJ see heavy pressure because people DON"T LIKE TO CHANGE....they'll continue to go to the same old spots and then complain that CJ is the Dead Sea. What they don't realize is that people have been fishing the same spots all week while they were at work and the area has either been cleaned out or the fish have moved due to the pressure.
There's nothing wrong with making a couple passes through that area, but if it doesn't produce, THEN MOVE!

I get great enjoyment when I see a guy in a boat catch a Walleye or Nice Crappie, cause you know within 2 minutes, he is gonna have 10 other boats in the same spot....Hell, that just opened up the entire lake for someone else!
Now, if you know CJ Walleye, you know that the are "Singular" creatures, except at Spawn...so if a guy catches a nice Walleye, what are the chances that 10 more are right there in the same area...I'd vote that the chances are slim to none!
That's why I laugh at "Pay-Lakers"....you are a SAD PERSON AND FISHERMAN IF THAT'S THE BEST YOU CAN DO!

Big Walleye and Big Crappie got that way because they do things different than all the others, they either pattern out of the way areas, or live secluded....if you want to catch a lot of fish that is fine, most of the time ALOT OF FISH, and BIG FISH, are not even close to being in the same area!

A lot of thought went into hiding Almost all of the last 4 years of cover, and all of this knowledge of fishermen was taken into consideration, so the cover would benefit the lake and fish...the only reason the fish population is expanding is because we HID THE COVER and WE DIDN'T TELL ANYONE WHERE IT IS! WHY??? Because we know exactly what would have happened! LMAO

That's a great observation Cousin Fritz, the Lake Erie Walleye school up because they are following large schools of shad and other food. CJ is full of shad, they don't have to go far to eat!
